The Big Keyboard Shortcut List

The BIG Keyboard Shortcut List

What is the allure of keyboard shortcuts? Do they really save time? Why bother since my mouse is permanently attached to my hand?

I like to use keyboard shortcuts, especially if someone is watching me, because they make me look like a pro. With just a few key strokes I can leave a mouser spinning his wheel! Whatever your motivation, here's a big list of keyboard shortcuts:

WINDOWS KEY SHORTCUTS

The Windows key can be used in conjunction with other keys to act as a keyboard shortcut for faster access to menu commands. Now, while the Alt key tends to open program menus (ex: Alt+F opens the File menu and Alt+E opens the Edit menu) and the Ctrl key performs actual operations (ex: Ctrl+C will copy and Ctrl+V will paste), the Windows key will open various Windows tools...

Win key + R will open the Start menu's Run box
Win key + F will open the Start menu's Find window
Win key + E will quickly launch Explorer
Win key + Pause/Break will open the System Properties window
Win key + M will Minimize all windows
Win key + Shift + M will undo Minimize all windows
Win key + D will switch between minimizing all open programs and showing them all
Win key + Tab will cycle through items on the taskbar
Win key by itself will open the Start menu

You can also open programs or folders on your desktop by pressing the Windows key + the first letter of the program/folder/shortcut + Enter . Sounds kinda tedious, but if you're in a bind with your mouse, it can come in quite handy.

ARROW TRICKS

Here's a cool little arrow trick to try with word processing programs. Next time you're using your arrow keys to go from one area of a sentence to another (left and right arrows), hold down your CTRL key. Instead of moving one space at a time, you'll go one word at a time.

If you're using the up and down arrows to go from line to line, holding down the CTRL key will make your cursor jump from paragraph to paragraph (well, from carriage return to carriage return anyway).

One last thing, if you hold down the SHIFT key while you do this (i.e. hold down SHIFT + CTRL at the same time), you select text as you arrow along.

I've tested this in MS Word and Wordpad, but it *should* work no matter what word processing program you use.

HOME / END KEY FUN

Do you ever find yourself scrolling through a huge folder ? Well, if you need to get to the beginning or the end quickly, just press Ctrl+Home . If you want to get to the end, click Ctrl+End.

Hey, that's not all!

This little trick works on more than just folders. If you use the Home key in a word processor, it goes to the beginning of the line you're currently working on. If you hit the END key, it should head to the end of the current line. If you pair Home & End up with the Ctrl key in a word processor, you will be whisked away to the beginning or end of the document. Again, this should work, but it depends on your word processor.

Speedup your work by using keyboard more and mouse less.

Essential Health Tips

"He who has health has hope, and he who has hope has everything." -Arabian Proverb

1. Move More
Make it a daily challenge to find ways to move your body. Climb stairs if given a choice between that and escalators or elevators. Walk your dog; chase your kids; toss balls with friends, mow the lawn. Anything that moves your limbs is not only a fitness tool, it's a stress buster. Think 'move' in small increments of time. It doesn't have to be an hour in the gym or a 45-minute aerobic dance class or tai chi or kickboxing. But that's great when you're up to it. Meanwhile, move more. Thought for the day: Cha, Cha, Cha…. Then do it!

2. Cut Fat
Avoid the obvious such as fried foods, burgers and other fatty meats (i.e. pork, bacon, ham, salami, ribs and sausage). Dairy products such as cheese, cottage cheese, milk and cream should be eaten in low fat versions. Nuts and sandwich meats, mayonnaise, margarine, butter and sauces should be eaten in limited amounts. Most are available in lower fat versions such as substitute butter, fat free cheeses and mayonnaise. Thought for the day: Lean, mean, fat-burning machine…. Then be one!

3. Quit Sm0king
The jury is definitely in on this verdict. Ever since 1960 when the Surgeon General announced that sm0king was harmful to your health, Americans have been reducing their use of t0bacco products that kill. Just recently, we've seen a surge in sm0king in adolescents and teens. Could it be the Hollywood influence? It seems the stars in every movie of late s0oke cig@rettes. Beware. Warn your children of the false romance or 'tough guy' stance of Hollywood sm0kers. Thought for the day: Give up just one cig@rette…. the next one.

4. Reduce Stress
Easier said than done, stress busters come in many forms. Some techniques recommended by experts are to think positive thoughts. Spend 30 minutes a day doing something you like. (i.e.,Soak in a hot tub; walk on the beach or in a park; read a good book; visit a friend; play with your dog; listen to soothing music; watch a funny movie. Get a massage, a facial or a haircut. Meditate. Count to ten before losing your temper or getting aggravated. Avoid difficult people when possible. Thought for the day: When seeing red, think pink clouds….then float on them.

5. Protect Yourself from Pollution
If you can't live in a smog-free environment, at least avoid smoke-filled rooms, high traffic areas, breathing in highway fumes and exercising near busy thoroughfares. Exercise outside when the smog rating is low. Exercise indoors in air conditioning when air quality is good. Plant lots of shrubbery in your yard. It's a good pollution and dirt from the street deterrent. Thought for the day: 'Smoke gets in your eyes'…and your mouth, and your nose and your lungs as do pollutants….hum the tune daily.

6. Wear Your Seat Belt
Statistics show that seat belts add to longevity and help alleviate potential injuries in car crashes. Thought for the day: Buckle down and buckle up.

7. Floss Your Teeth
Recent studies make a direct connection between longevity and teeth flossing. Nobody knows exactly why. Perhaps it's because people who floss tend to be more health conscious than people who don't? Thought for the day: Floss and be your body's boss.

8. Avoid Excessive Drinking
While recent studies show a glass of wine or one drink a day (two for men) can help protect against heart disease, more than that can cause other health problems such as liver and kidney disease and cancer. Thought for the day: A jug of wine should last a long time.

9. Keep a Positive Mental Outlook
There's a definitive connection between living well and healthfully and having a cheerful outlook on life. Thought for the day: You can't be unhappy when you're smiling or singing.

10. Choose Your Parents Well
The link between genetics and health is a powerful one. But just because one or both of your parents died young in ill health doesn't mean you cannot counteract the genetic pool handed you. Thought for the day: Follow these basic tips for healthy living and you can better control your own destiny.

Yoga For Memory

Yoga and Memory
Yoga is an ancient Hindu discipline. The goal of Yoga is union with the higher consciousness.Understanding ‘Memory’
Memory is the capacity to retain and recall information about past and present incidents. Memory capacity is the ability to analyze and synthesize the assimilated information and not information storage alone. Memory power varies between individuals.
In Sanskrit, the word ‘Memory’ is called ‘smriti’ The yoga sutras of Patanjali describe memory as ‘an experienced object not being lost from the mind.’Yoga and Memory: The Indisputable Link
While memory is the latent capacity to retain and recall information, yoga assists in improving memory power through yogic techniques of concentration and meditation. The brain functions of attention, cognition, processing of sensory information and visual perception are honed with yogic practices.
Yogic practices like asanas, pranayama, meditation and Om chanting increase the circulation of blood to the brain. This helps calm the mind and enhances concentration skills. Memory lapses can also be prevented through yogic practices that enhance the power of recall. One can draw upon the immense power of the mind with consistent yogic endeavor
“Memory is the measure of ability to reproduce the knowledge that is known”, says Yogacharya Vishwas.
“Memory is holding on to that which has been known.”- The Hindu Texts.
“Memory is the calling up of an object from past experience,” say Patanjali Sutras. The magic of hatha yoga
Hatha yoga is a gentle form of yoga that consists of asanas, pranayama, meditation and chanting to achieve clarity of the mind that translates into all round good health. Memory power is given a boost, while also improving the ability to maintain focus and concentration.
Yogic components that improve memoryAsanas: The inverted postures nourish the brain with increased blood supply and supply of oxygen to the cells that help in developing memory:Pranayama: Deep breathing exercises that help in the increased flow of prana and oxygen to the body parts and the brain, enhancing memory powerMeditation: Helps to clear the mind of unwanted thoughts and reduces excess i ve thinking. It is said that excessive thinking saps the mental energy of a person. Daily meditation helps to keep the mind calm and free of tension. Meditation on the third eye or on the point between the eyebrows helps to activate the brain and develop memory power.“Om” chanting: – The vibration of Om recharges the cells and organs of the body with energy. It is said that 30 minutes of Om chanting helps to rejuvenate our consciousness and improve memory power. How?
AUM – Utterance of A affects the spinal cord.
Utterance of U affects the thyroid glands.
Utterance of M affects the brain and its centers.
This practice enhances the ef ficiency of the brain cells, thereby improving memory power.
Yogic Practices in Detail Asanas
Asanas are not aimed at mere toning of the physical body; they are designed to activate the energy channels in our body, thereby empowering the body from within.
During asana practice, it is important to focus the eyes at the point between the eyebrows, which promotes memory power. One must gently do away with restless thoughts and be aware of the movements of the body.1.Vrikshasana or the tree pose: This asana is practised in a standing posture, and benefits the ankle and the knees while also developing memory and concentration.Steps:
1. Stand erect.
2. Lift the right leg, bend it at the knees and place it on the left thigh.
3. &nb sp; Bring your palms close to your chest as in a prayer position.
4. Shift your gaze to a point on the floor and stare.
5. Hold this position for a few breaths and relax while returning to the original position.
6. Repeat the same with the other leg.
2.Natarajasana or the dancer’s pose: This pose enhances balance, memory, focus and concentration.Steps:
1. Stand erect. Bend the right knee and hold the knee at the ankles with your fingers.
2. Inhale as you lift the left arm straight above the head.
3. Exhale as you pull the right leg up and away from the body.
4. Then fix your gaze steadily at a point on the floor for a few breaths.
5. Repeat the same with the other leg.
Pranayama
It is apt to quote the Patanjali sutras that say , “The mind becomes calm by regulating the expulsion and retention of the breath”. Yogic breathing is a powerful tool to bring in more oxygen to the brain and blood. This facilitates in the development of memory and concentration.
Yogic breathing – Anuloma Viloma
Anuloma Viloma is also called alternate nostril breathing. Insights into the yogic texts describe the presence of the Ida nerve current, which flows through the left nostril and the Pingala current, which flows through the right nostril. It is said, that the breath flows through the right nostril for one hour, and then through the left nostril for another hour. Any alteration in this pattern of the flow of breath results in disease.Steps:
1. Sit in a comfortable position and relax all the muscles of the body.
2. Exhale deeply through both nostrils.
3. Close your right nostril and inhale through the left nostril. Next, gently close the left nostril and release or exhale the breath through the right nostril. This constitutes one cycle of breathing practice.
4. & nbsp; Close your left nostril and inhale through the right nostril. Close the right nostril and exhale through the left nostril. This makes another cycle of breathing exercise.
Note: Breathing should be normal, regular and deep during the practice.Practice of this exercise calms the mind, and prepares it for deep meditation.
Meditation
Finding peace amidst the hustle and bustle of daily life, meditation is a time-tested method to experience th e divine presence or consciousness within. An intense feeling of inner peace and abounding bliss envelops the being after deep meditation. It also helps in developing a non-judgmental attitude towards people and situations. Meditation on the third eye helps develop memory power. Steps:
1. Sit in a cross-legged position.
2. Close your eyes and fix your attention at the point between the eyebrows. By focusing on this inner vision, we achieve clarity and creative insight. This chakra is also called Ajna chakra and the colour it radiates is emerald green. Focus your concentration on this center and feel the energy it radiates.
Benefit: By focusing on this inner vision, we achieve clarity of thought and purpose. The power of creative insight is also honed through this technique.

Purpose of Life

Ask yourself a question!

Well, what is the purpose of life? Right from our childhood, we have been fulfilling our desires। All we wanted as babies was mothers' milk. Then we started asking for chocolates, then bicycles, then motorcycles & then cars etc. Apart from our material needs, our social needs also started growing. We wanted to come first in our classes, then we wanted to join premier schools for our education, then good jobs, good employers, fast track careers and on and on. It seems that the needs are never fulfilling and there seems to be no end to them. Let's ask a few questions to ourselves. Is there any limit of achieving? Is having a Mercedes enough? Why not a helicopter? Why not a 16 seater craft? Are we ever going to be satisfied? However, the life has got certain period. Therefore, the period of fulfillment of needs is limited by the span of life. If we think about the net output of our lives, is there anything that we have really gained? Do we carry anything with us at the end of our lives? Then what is the objective of living?

A poem by Rabindranath Tagore ?

Go not to the temple to put flowers upon the feet of God,
First fill your own house with the Fragrance of love...

Go not to the temple to light candles before the altar of God,
First remove the darkness of sin from your heart...

Go not to the temple to bow down your head in prayer,
first learn to bow in humility before your fellowmen...

Go not to the temple to pray on bended knees,
First bend down to lift someone who is down-trodden...

Go not to the temple to ask for forgiveness for your sins,
First forgive from your heart those who have sinned against you.

Stress Busters

Your boss is driving you crazy, you're in hot water with your honey, and the jerk in the little red car just cut you off. Wouldn't it be great if there were a stress buster as simple to use as a vitamin pill? Well, there are plenty of products out there that claim to reduce stress. The problem? There isn't a lot of rock-solid evidence that stress-busting herbal and nutritional supplements actually work.
Kava kava, valerian, and chamomile tea have all been advocated for reducing anxiety, St. John's wort is used for mild depression, and a blend of natural herbs called adaptogens are very popular in Russia and Eastern Europe for relieving stress. The problem here is that such supplements do not have to provide evidence of efficacy or safety and can make any claims they wish to since the Food and Drug Administration and the Federal Communications Commission have no jurisdiction over them. In addition, few of these products have any double-blind clinical trials to back up their claims, much less a scientific rationale for support.
So you may end up having to experiment to see if they work for you. And "all natural" doesn't necessarily mean "incapable of harm." Some herbs, such as St. John's wort, can interfere with prescription medications. And kava-containing supplements have been known to cause liver damage severe enough to require a transplant. If you want an alternative "all natural" stress buster, you may want to try these instead:
1. Religion
Some studies have suggested that people who use "religious coping" -- seeking God's help, finding comfort in religion -- have lower blood pressure than those who use alternate stress relievers. The simple act of praying for stress relief might be enough to achieve your goal.
2. Forgive Someone
A recent study found that those people with a propensity to forgive others tended to have -- you guessed it: lower blood pressure than their less-forgiving peers. Isn't it time you gave up that grudge, if only to gain the health benefits?
3. Sleep
About 60 percent of people who are stressed say they don't get enough sleep, according to a National Consumers League survey. If falling asleep is your trouble, it's time to start a calming bedtime routine. Start with a soothing shower and some lavender body wash. Then slip between the covers with a light novel and you'll be asleep in no time.
4. Vacation
Can't find the time or money to plan a lounge on the beach for a week? A vacation can be as simple as a quick weekend trip, or a special event near home. All that's necessary is that you spend an extended period of time not thinking about those things -- work, money, relationships -- that are making you crazy.
Soothing Habits
5. Yoga
Even one yoga class can cut levels of the stress hormone cortisol -- reason enough to get you down-dogging with the best of them. Taking a yoga class at a local gym is sure to offer you a rejuvenating workout. Or if simple relaxation is what you really need, find a yoga class that specializes in low-key hatha yoga.
6. Bubble Bath
Lock the door, work up a lather, and forget the world exists. Add a few candles -- sage is a soothing scent, or try sandalwood incense -- and maybe a good book or some classical music, and you'll be well on your way to forgetting your horrific commute.
7. Lighten Your Workload
Talk to your boss, delegate tasks, or start looking for a new job. If work is making you crazy, you're not alone. Work is the top source of stress in adults aged 18-54, according to the National Consumers League survey. Forty-six percent say it's a problem.
While you're searching for a less stressful job, find some ways to unwind after work. Sit quietly for 10 minutes before you start your evening. Play a favorite CD while fixing dinner. Or delegate your home chores so you can relax on weeknights instead of slaving over laundry.
8. Cup of Tea
Whether it's chamomile or chai, try to take time, relax, and put your feet up when enjoying your favorite brew. In the warmer months you can chill a pot of freshly brewed green tea for a calming and cooling treat.
9. Biofeedback
There are many different types of biofeedback, all aimed at turning you into a warm puddle of relaxed goo. Talk to a health professional about these techniques in which sensors are used to measure your temperature, muscle tension, or heart rate and translate them into lights or sounds. Or for a different sensation, ask your partner to give you a massage, or splurge on an appointment at your local spa.
10. Sex
Is it the snuggling with your honey or the act itself? Either way, sex is a time-tested stress reliever, and it's well worth taking the time to do it.

How to Develop Charisma: Twelve Key Moves

You've seen them. People like John Edwards or Carly Fiorina whose personal magnetism makes them stand out and propels them up the ladder of success.

But is charisma -- that powerful personal magic that attracts people and promotions like a magnet -- something you are born with or something you can learn?

It's common knowledge, for example, that the late president John F. Kennedy exuded charisma. Yet historians say his style was so carefully rehearsed that before running for president he even commissioned a study to determine the most effective handshake!

Those who study the phenomenon of charisma say while some people are innately more charismatic than others, there are certain things everyone can do to boost their charisma quotient. Here are some points which can boost ur charisma.

Expect acceptance.
Regardless of rank, expect to be treated as an equal. If you expect acceptance, you just might get it. If you don't expect it, you definitely won't get it.

Control your attitude.
Success in business is based more on mental attitude than on mental capabilities. Be optimistic toward yourself, others and life. Walk in to a room with a spring in your step and a smile on your face.

Perfect your posture.
Pull your ribcage away from your pelvis, roll your shoulders back and down, pull your stomach in and tuck your bottom toward your spine. Breathe deeply. You'll not only look better, but feel more energized, alert and in control.

Think before you talk.
Think fast, pause, then speak purposefully. One CEO practices saying everything to himself before he says it out loud so that he will hear how it sounds and can change it if he needs to.

Slow down.
Speed in speaking, moving, gesturing and walking looks nervous and scared. Scared people get passed over, not hired or promoted. Learn to speak in a comfortable, easygoing and welcoming way. Don't waste time, but do speak as if you have all the time in the world for those you are speaking to.

Shoot straight.
Everything you say or write can be done in a simple, straightforward manner. Just do it.

Be a good storyteller.
People understand you better, remember what you say longer, and find you smarter and more interesting if you use anecdotes to make your points.

Be aware of your style.
Clothes don't make the man but they do make a difference. Wear well-tailored, good quality clothes that make you look like you are in charge. But remember, it isn't as much about your look as how you look at things and what people see when they look at you.

Admit your mistakes.
If you are error-free, you're likely effort-free.

Don't be bullied.
If you are unjustly criticized, don't take the bait and get into an argument. Instead calmly ask: "Why do you think that?" "What do you mean?" or "What's that based on?"

Be flexible.
Be able to stand out while still fitting in with the crowd.

Be at ease with yourself and others.
Look others straight in the eye, eliminate any defensiveness and take the edge off your voice. Never let them see you sweat!

Ten tips for your pc

TIP # 1
(Keep your software up to date.)
The first line of defense in keeping your computer as secure as possible is through regular software updates and routine system maintenance to help avoid data loss, new viruses, and other potential risks. The top two software applications you need to keep updated are your operating system (ex. Microsoft Windows) and your anti-virus solution.
For Microsoft Windows, we recommend that you run Windows Update or the new Microsoft Update. If you are using Windows XP, Windows 2000 SP3 or higher, or Windows Server 2003, we recommend that you activate Automatic Updates. The Automatic Updates feature in Windows notifies you when critical updates are available for your computer. Automatic Updates also allows you to specify the schedule that Windows follows to install updates on your computer.
For the new Microsoft Update, please visit http:!!update. microsoft. com/Microsoftupd ate
To turn on Automatic Updates, on Windows XP go START -> Control Panel -> Automatic Updates

TIP # 2
(Use a Firewall.)
When someone on the internet or on a network tries to connect to your computer, we call that attempt an "unsolicited request." When your computer gets an unsolicited request, a Firewall application could block the connection. If you run a program such as an instant messaging program or a multiplayer network game that needs to receive information from the Internet or a network, the firewall asks if you want to block or unblock (allow) the connection.
If you are running Windows XP with Service Pack 2, you can take advantage of Windows Firewall which is a protective boundary that monitors and restricts information that travels between your computer and a network or the Internet. This provides a line of defense against someone who might try to access your computer from outside the Windows Firewall without your permission. If you are using Windows XP and have not yet upgraded to Service Pack 2, Windows Firewall was previously known as Internet Connection Firewall or ICF
You do not have to use Windows Firewall, you can install and run any firewall that you choose available through other software vendors. Evaluate the features of other firewalls and then decide which firewall best meets your needs. If you choose to install and run another firewall, turn off Windows Firewall.

TIP # 3
(Use anti-virus software.)
This can detect many, but not all, forms of malicious software before they have a chance to affect your computer.
Antivirus software is a program that either comes installed on your computer or that you purchase and install yourself. It helps protect your computer against most viruses, worms, Trojan. and other unwanted invaders that can make your computer "sick." Viruses, worms, and the like often perform malicious acts, such as deleting files, accessing personal data, or using your computer to attack other computers.
You can help keep your computer healthy by using antivirus software. Remember to update your antivirus software regularly. These updates are generally available through a subscription from your antivirus vendor.
Microsoft currently does not offer an anti-virus solution. There are a number of software companies that offer anti-virus applications.

TIP # 4
(Use an Anti-spyware application. )
Spyware is a general term used for software that performs certain tasks, such as collecting personal information or changing the configuration of your computer without your appropriate consent and control. Spyware can significantly slow down your computer, make unwanted changes to key settings, and be difficult to remove.
Anti-spyware software helps protect your computer from spyware and other potentially unwanted software by detecting and removing known spyware programs. It can be scheduled to scan your computer at times that are convenient for you.
A variety of tools that detect and remove unwanted software from your computer are available at no charge
Microsoft offers Windows AntiSpyware which can help protect your PC from spyware and other potentially unwanted software This is available from http://www.microsof t.com/antispywar e for FREE for all users of Genuine Windows software.

TIP # 5
(Upgrade to Windows XP Service Pack 2)

If you are using Windows XP, we highly recommend that you upgrade to Service Pack 2. Windows XP Service Pack 2 (SP2) contains a collection of new technologies designed to help keep your PC and your personal information more secure. These new technologies include the Windows Security Center, Windows Firewall, Internet Explorer Pop-up Blocker, and more.
More details on the many features of Windows XP SP2 and how to take advantage of these can be found here:
http:l/www.microsof t.com/windowsxp/ sp2/howto/ default .mspx

TIP # 6
(Create a "strong" password.)

The purpose of having a logon process is to establish who you are. Once the operating system or website knows who you are, it can grant or deny requests for services. If a bad guy learns your username and password. he can log on as you. In fact, as far as the operating system is concerned, he is you.
Sometimes we use simple passwords so it will be easy for us to remember them. Usual passwords include your name, name of your spouse or child, your birthday, your pet's name, your ID number. The problem with these passwords is that anyone who knows you could probably figure out your password given enough time. That is why these are also called "weak" passwords.
A strong password is where you create a more complex password using other symbols on the keyboard and use other words which would be harder to guess. Remember that lowercase letters are different from upper case letters. For example... for password" it could be'P@s$wOrD" .
Finally, try to adopt a"Pass Phrase" instead. It could be easier to remember, yet more difficult to guess. For example, "MyBirthdaylsOnNov2 2 1979". Just let your imagination fly!

Tip # 7
(Keep your passwords safe.)

Your password is as important as your ATM PIN, or your front door key. You need to guard it well, and make sure nobody else gets hold of it.
As much as possible. memorize your password and do not write it down Some people not only wnte their passwords down, they put it in prominent places like on a small sheet taped to computer monitor. By doing so, you defeat the purpose of having a password.
Remember not to give out your password to ANYONE. It is also smart to change your password regularly.
Most people use the same password for all of their internet accounts. This is something we don't advise you to do. Just imagine what would happen if someone got hold of your password for one of your accounts? He or she would have access to all of your internet accounts.

TIP # 8
(Be suspicious of bogus E-Mail.)

Anyone, anywhere in the world, can register for an ISP account. and Internet email protocols allow anyone to send a message that appears to be from any other person. Don't assume an email from "Tito Boy" or "Manang Gloria" was actually sent from someone you know, and don't assume that an unsolicited message from user@hotmail. com was really sent by that account.
If an e-mail has a very small attachment and the message of the e-mail is practically empty. Just delete it. If the attachment is a ZIP file but it looks too small to contain a photo or document, just delete it. Despite who it seems to come from, chances are it is probably a virus.

TIP # 9
(Be suspicious of scams)

Scams are a popular way of getting your personal information. The most common scams are fake login pages and forged emails that ask for your password, credit card number, or other sensitive information. Ignore anything you see that strikes you as questionable or suspicious.
If any e-mail asks for your usemame or password, do not respond or reply to these e-mail messages. Always confirm a transaction through your Bank. The intemet is also full of "get rich quick" scams. Just remember that if it seems to good to be true, it probably is. If you received e-mail from anyone claiming they will share with you millions of dollars if you help them out or follow a few simple instructions, this almost always is a scam in which you will gain nothing and could put you in financial or physical risk.

Art of living

Art of living

"This world is full of sufferings". These are the words of Gautam Buddha, the 9th incarnation of Vishnu. At first some people including western people does not like this statement. What surprises me even more is that Jesus, another pioneer of the 9th wave who bears the equal status as of Buddha, also gave the same message that -"This world is full of sufferings". Wheneven you go to the church, first thing you see is the suffering Jesus hanging on a cross, which gives a message that even son of God suffers if He takes birth on earth. But who can teach anything to west. They do not have the attitude to accept the change. All they care about is to enjoy their life at their best. West is the most powerful and that is why India is also getting influenced from the west. People of India are also imitating west and being materialistic. These days we have "His Holiness Sri Sri Sri Ravishankar", founder of Art of Living also who talk exactly opposite to Buddha or Jesus and claim that – "This world is full of joy". No wonder He has lots of fan followers especially from west. Who is correct? Is it Buddha / Jesus or Ravishankar?

Let us have a look at below mentioned mathematical equation -

1 = 0 * Infinity

1 = Human Being

0 = Devil

Infinity = God / god (devta)

Empty mind is the house of devil. Empty place is also called as the existence of zero.

Devil and God both live inside us. When they combine they make human being. Attaining devatva (Moksha) is nothing but removing devil from you. If we remove devil from us we become god.

To become god or Devta is the ultimate ambition of human being.

"If you divide yourself by nothing, you become god (or attain devatva). "

"The more you desire, the more it grow.

The less you desire, the more you grow"

Ok. First let me see this world from Ravishankar's perspective. If I consider this world as full of joy then I will concentrate on enjoyment and I would like to enjoy each and every moment of my life. If I get a choice between choosing sufferings and enjoyment then I might prefer to choose enjoyment. There are 6 enemies of human beings. These are lust, anger, greed, arrogance, attachment and jealousy. Why do I call them as enemies? The reason is that they stop your spiritual growth and will take you away from your ultimate ambition, the Moksha. Why people end up of being trapped of these enemies? It is because of our perspective and our attitude about this world. People feel enjoyment in all these 6 enemies. A person who is looking for enjoyment will definitely end up falling into the trap and will live with these enemies and by doing so he will be away from achieving his ultimate ambition.

Now look at the world from Buddha's perspective. If you say that this world is full of sufferings then you will think about those people who suffer. You will think about helping them. You will think about yourself and this world. Why did God make this world? What was His purpose? You think inward. You will understand the truth that this world is nothing but a trap and it is the ambition of human life to get out of this trap. The ambition is to come out of the cycle of life and death. How can we achieve that? We can achieve that by helping those who suffer. We can achieve that by doing the right Karma. We can achieve that by staying away from 6 enemies of our spiritual growth. Very few people remember God when they are happy but almost all of us remember God when we suffer.

So if I ask that what Buddha or Jesus taught us then the right answer should be that "He taught us the art of living." Buddha or Jesus did not give us another religion but a different perspective to look at the world.

Some people argue that Krishna, the 8th incarnaion of Vishnu, also lived the life which was full of joy. At this point I would like to remind you that this is the reason we call Him "The Yogiraj" (King of Yoga). He was in the Matrix but was not the part of it at all. It is we who see Him from that perspective but the truth is that He was no different from the Buddha. Both of them were as pure as a child. A child either wants everything or nothing. He will not settle in middle. Krishna wanted everything while Buddha wanted nothing. Krishna is also known as India's version of Godfather. He gave us another emotion when we remember God and that is "fear". He also gave us a warning that - "Be good otherwise I will come back and will do justice with you". We should follow the even and odd waves but we should not imitate the even incarnations. We should not try to become Krishna or Parshuram. We should aim to become Ram or Buddha or Jesus. Even incarnations are for those who do not like or follow the odd ones.

What type of Employee are u

Good for the Boss

Aries Employee Profile (march 20 - april 19) Aries employees make excellent troubleshooters. They 'll usually want to be out in the field at a variety of different work sites fixing things. They certainly won't be happy for very long behind a desk in a
9 to 5 schedule. The bored Aries employee who has been forced into a square hole will typically be restless, angry, and careless with details. No amount of money would compensate for being stuck in a routine job. Money in fact isn't why they are working at all. They do want to be paid fairly and need a status position to satisfy their competitive tendencies--but even more importantly, they'll want challenging new projects They typically like to have a sense of responsibility and need to feel needed. In return, they'll give their all and provide detailed, consistent work. They will literally work themselves to exhaustion to prove themselves. If you want to keep your Aries co- worker productive and happy, you'll want to give them the opportunity to work independently or let them help and lead less experienced workers.

Taurus Employee Profile (april 20 - may 20) Taureans make some of the best employees. They are loyal, hardworking, and no-nonsense. They work methodically and follow projects through until they are complete. Some may appear to work a little too slowly-usually because they are so careful-but they will always finish what they start.
They thrive on structure, schedules, and routine. You'll find them doing the same exact thing at the same time every day.
Taureans, however, are not exactly the malleable workers that they often appear to be. If they have to work in a chaotic environment, they won't be happy and will be prone to child-like temper tantrums and stubb ornness. They might react similarly if they have to work around ignorant people or at a job where there is no obvious potential for advancement. Taureans will be very unhappy if there isn't a ladder for them to climb. Even in the worst situations, they will find a way to advance slowly, winning over the most difficult people who may stand in their way of progress.
Taurus employees will only take so much patiently and happily before they feel they are being taken advantage of. They will gladly accept orders and do whatever dirty work needs to get done, but they expect rewards. They want material gain, salary increases, and the potential for more power. To make your Taurus employees happy, be sure to give them projects through which they will see tangible results-hopefully something that will allow them to express their unique creativity in addition to their practical side.
They don't want to feel mired in details for long periods of time. Make sure to schedule regular performance and salary reviews. This show of respect should keep them loyal to the company.

Gemini Employee Profile (may 21 - june 21) Gemini employees can have difficulty concentrating on one thing for long periods of time. They have quick-moving minds and love to talk and communicate their ideas with others. They thrive on social interaction -- even if their jobs don't particularly support it. You'll be able to find them wandering from desk to desk gossiping about all the sordid news in the office. They can be powerful persuaders in their speech and make ideal salespeople and mediators. They love to negotiate and can work out the best Deal for everyone involved. When properly stimulated, they can manage to keep their wandering mind focused and actually be quite productive. When they are bored, bogged down with mundane detail-work, or forced to work with people who they consider droll, they can become mean-spirited and gossipy. Their moods can fluctuate vastly day to day, as well as their productivity. It is really against t heir nature to be forced into an average workday schedule and environment. They are happier travelling. lf they are in an office they will need constant new stimulation. Most will be wanting advancement if they see this as a way to escape the limitations of their jobs. This can motivate them to put extra effort into their job. If you work with a Gemini, try to avoid getting into any debates with them they will surely win and it could end in some hard feelings on your part. They will need an accepting environment-one that supports their need for multi-tasking.

Cancer Employee Profile (June 22 - July 21) The Cancer employee isn't at work to feed their ego -- their job is just a job and a means to get paid. They work steadily and are usually very reliable. You'll be able to depend on them to show up on time and do what is necessary.
They won't get involved in power struggles or get upset when someone advances before them. They are able to accept the situation because they see it simply as a rung on the ladder up. Their motivation is security. They'll want more money the longer they've stayed at a job. They don't want to have to worry about how they'll make ends meet tomorrow so they'll need a stable position without much risk.
Cancerian workers can slip into some dark moods on occasion. During these periods productivity tends to drop-as well as everyone else's in the office. Their moods can be so strong everyone becomes affected. To avoid the frequency of these occurrences, managers and co-workers should try to make the work environment as homey as possible-keep it well heated, cozy, and friendly.
Don't press them to reveal their true inner thoughts-their tendency is to be secretive and protective, and they could see prying as an attempt to disturb their security.

Leo Employee Profile (july 22 - august 21) Leo workers want to be first and at the center of the office. Even if they can't lead, they'll look for every opportunity to increase their own status and if someone else seems ahead of them, look out. They will make it clear that they aren't happy by pouting and complaining. They want advancement so much that they'll take on more responsibility and carry a heavier load than anyone else does in the office. And they are self-promoters. It is likely that they are telling everyone in the office what a great job they are doing as well as giving everyone unwanted advice. They know they are superior and want everyone to know it as well. This arrogance can sometimes cause problems when working with management. But typically, they are just hard workers out to demonstrate just how good they really are. They thrive in sales positions - they can promote a product or company just as well as they promote themselves. Their strength and arrogance isn't just show either. In a crisis situation, Leos really demonstrate their true courage. Leos want to lead and will be pushing for more responsibility and rewards. They are happy to train and mentor new co- workers as they enjoy giving advice and being in positions of authority. If you are trying to manage a Leo employee, you'll need to give them plenty of praise, responsibility, and independence.
They will certainly want to help lighten your load of management responsibilities. Just be careful- the next thing you know they could be taking over your job.

Virgo Employee Profile (august 22 - september 22) In the right situations Virgos love to work. They make ideal employees, happily working late into the night to make sure everything is perfect and in order. If you are looking for an employee who doesn't mind starting from rock bottom in the most entry-level position at the company, hire a Virgo. They'll have no complaints about the position being beneath them. They are CONTENT with basic, honest hard work. Their contentment isn't always apparent, however..
They love to complain and worry. They are quick to criticize the way things are done around the office and are the first ones to grumble disapprovingly at what they consider to be extravagance or laziness.
They are blunt and honest and don't mince words over what they feel just isn't right. Usually, this will be brought on by someone doing a half-baked job or not being considerate of other co-work ers. You'll want to constantly reassure them, but this will do little to quell their anxieties. They actually enjoy worrying, and there is little you can do about it. Just give them a detail - oriented project and let them work alone on it. You won't have to supervise a Virgo worker. They'll check all the facts before getting started and catch their own errors when they are done. To keep a Virgo employee happy, you should also make sure their environment is orderly and calm. You should also provide small gestures of appreciation. They don't need extravagance, just let them know you appreciate them in small ways that won't embarrass them.
They will probably just shrug their shoulders and say, "It's no big deal." But deep down inside they need these little reassurances.

Libra Employee Profile (september 23 - october 22) Libra employees are detailed, dedicated workers with sensitive natures. Managers and co-workers sometimes find them difficult to get a handle on. They pick up the energy of the office and are unable to prevent it from affecting them. Loud noise, flashy colors, and discordant vibrations will put them off so much that they will have difficulty fulfilling their obligations at work.
One day they may seem like the most bright, hardworking, ambitious employee around. The next day they might be down, irritated, and unable to produce. Co-workers shouldn't fret when Libra employees are in a dark mood. It really won't last, as a happy state of mind can come over them just as quickly. When Libra employees are in a balanced frame of mind, they can be a powerful presence at work-they have a way of gracing everything they touch. Underneath that mess of moods, they really are basically happy and stable people. They are capable of profound logical thought and evaluate all sides of a situation before acting. They are one of the most intelligent Signs around. They are expert researchers and mediators. And their sensitivity to their environment makes them naturals at keeping things looking great. They will easily help others resolve conflicts and can act as a go-between with workers and management so that everyone ends up happy. If you want to keep your Libran worker smiling, give them the respect they are due and put them in a position where they can project their great charm and diplomacy. They won't be CONTENT to take orders for very long, either- make sure they are given increased responsibility.

Scorpio Employee Profile (october 23 - november 21) Scorpio employees usually exude a quiet self-confidence. They are self-sufficient and do not depend on others for a sense of self-worth.
They keep their private life separate from work and take complete responsibility for their actions and their situation. They don't make excuses; they just take care of business and expect everyone else to do the same. Those who don't, co- workers and managers- will have to endure the Scorpio wrath. They don't mind being completely vocal about what they feel is wrong with any given situation. And if you tread on their fire be sure to expect retaliation. They won't take insults or opposition lying down. If you manage a Scorpio employee, be sure to follow through with your word and don't break any promises-Scorpio is keeping track and building up some heavy resentments against you if you do. You may not even be aware of it until too late-but when Scorpio gets too m uch, you'll be sure to know. Scorpio employees will react towards those around them exactly as they are treated. When they get what they want, they will be very accepting. If you are trying to work with or motivate a Scorpio co-worker, be sure to treat them respectfully and act professionally. Give them challenging work that allows them to utilize their awesome self-confidence and courage.

Sagittarius Employee Profile (november 22 - december 21) The Sagittarian employee is head strong, cheerful, and willing to help. They exude self-confidence and take on tasks like there's no tomorrow. They are willing to tackle even the toughest of projects as long as it is challenging and gets them out of the routine. Lucky for them, their shining personalities and honest enthusiasm seem like a bright spot in the office- otherwise co-workers might begin to build animosity towards someone so arrogant and extravagant. Their tendency to exaggerate and take on more then they can handle usually results in missed deadlines and dropping the ball-not because they are lazy of procrastinate, but because their enthusiasm just gets the better of them sometimes. Don't let their nonchalance fool you-they really do care about what they are doing. They just have an easy-going attitude that allows them to keep on smiling even when they just messed up big time. Just because they are flexible and easy-going doesn't mean they won't tell you exactly how they feel-what is working for them and what isn't. And they won't just blindly take orders - they need to understand the method and reason behind the process. If you are trying to motivate your Sagittarian employee, be sure to feed them plenty of challenging new projects and hint that some business trips might be on the horizon once deadlines are met. And whatever you do, try not to question their intentions - it is the quickest way to make them upset. They aren't capable of deceit.

Capricorn Employee Profile (december 22 - january 20) A Capricorn employee with too much to do is a happy worker. They need plenty of projects and responsibility. There is no sadder sight than a Capricorn worker without a sense of responsibility. They need to be needed. They are covertly ambitious - usually not flashy or obvious about it-but you will usually know that they are serious and determined about advancing themselves. They are completely scrupulous, so much so that they can be self-disparaging. But they are no pushovers. They can wear down even the toughest customers. Their persistence is incredible. Once they set their sights on a goal, they work away at it until the bitter end-whether the goal be that hard sell or the new hardware release. Capricorns don't work for free, however. They expect to be paid handsomely and be given more and more responsibility. They need to come out ahead of the pack in the end, and they see the work environment as their primary vehicle. They won't go in for the typical office gossip and politics, though. They want to get down to business at work and see it as no place for fooling around. With a strong sense of duty and respect towards their superiors, it is rare they will join in on boss-bashing or knocking the system. They can get frustrated, however, with blue sky management schemes that lack common sense, and they will interject their dry sense of humor in the most critical ways. If they want change, they will be unyielding. If all their effort leads to naught the result will be deep moods of darkness and depression with a sense of hopelessness. Keep your Capricorn employee happy by paying them fairly and giving them plenty of hard work. Arrange for a path of advancement within your organization for them. If you don't, you might find them looking for other opportunities.

Aquarius Employee Profile (january 21 - february 19) The Aquarius employee can't tolerate unfairness in the office. Hair brained schemes will get the positive attention they deserve if an Aquarian has anything to do with it. They'll try to help everyone see the good side of a bad situation if it's the last thing that they do.
They are so smart-they can't help but hold management in disdain if they feel that they are being unfair and unintelligent. It isn't that they are overly ambitious and think they could be doing a better job- just that they think people in power should know better.
Most Aquarius workers are still looking for themselves and will want to try their hand at a variety of jobs in the workplace.
Whatever they are doing, they will do conscientiously. They usually have strict personal codes that include a strong work ethic.
Their bright, off-beat intelligence, and trustwothiness will typically gain them many friends-in and out of work. Beneath that sometimes odd-ball behavior is solid, concrete thinking and sensitivity to co-workers. Keep your smart Aquarius co-worker happy by giving them plenty of opportunity to learn news kills. Raises are less important to them. No amount of money will make it worth their while to stay in a stagnant position. Don't let them get too bored or they will simply find another job as easily as they found this one-their genius is easy to spot.

Pisces Employee Profile (february 20 - march 19 ) The Pisces employee can be a loyal and hard-working, if unconventional, worker. In the right position, they are able to keep their daydreams in check and buckle down on the detail work-giving their all to the boss and corporation whom they feel are worthy of devotion. On the flip side, there is no image of extreme misery like that of an ill-placed Pisces worker. They will act as though their cubicle were a prison cell as they daydream of their own business or
next vacation. Unhappy Pisces workers usually won't stick around too long. Often Pisceans will drift from one job to another looking for that ideal environment to which they will be able to commit and feel a sense of purpose. And if things are going in a bad direction at the office, Pisces will be the first to sense it. They'd rather pick up and leave then wait until the problem reaches a head. Pisces are often misunderstood by their co-workers. Typically timid and introspective, they usually keep their true nature hidden, for fear it wouldn't fit with the corporate culture.
What motivates a Pisces employee to not only stick around but also excel? Try compliments. And show them how their work impacts the entire organization. They need to know that what they are doing is worth something on a grander scale. Acceptance of their unconventional organization and planning will be necessary. Just because their sales
report isn't in the typical format doesn't mean it is any less effective. Keep their environment bright and upbeat; and an after-work cocktail wouldn't hurt
